Laraine Harrison, MBA, BA
Mrs. Laraine Harrison joined the Victoria Mutual family in January 2012. A motivational and transformational human resources professional, Mrs. Harrison has over 20 years’ experience in Strategic and Operational Human Resource Management, Change Management, Talent Management & Succession Planning and Proactive Industrial Relations.
As the head of Group Human Resources, she is charged with the continued transformation of Victoria Mutual’s culture and value system. The majority of Mrs. Harrison’s work experience has been with the financial services industry, having worked at Citibank, Florida in her early working career before joining Island Victoria Bank where she served as Vice President, Human Resource Development & Administration. From Island Victoria Bank, she served the former Union Bank as General Manager, Human Resources, where she and her team harmonised and standardised the Bank’s Human Resources Development policies, procedures and benefits in record time, overcoming industrial relations challenges. She continued with RBTT Bank as General Manager responsible for Human Resources for a continuous period in excess of nine years and then served with RBC Royal Bank as a Human Resources/Industrial Relations Consultant.
Mrs. Harrison holds a Masters in Business Administration Degree in Management and Finance from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, French and Spanish from the University of the West Indies, Mona. She also holds certification from Harvard Business School in Strategic Human Resources Management and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management. Mrs. Harrison is also actively involved in the Sts. Peter & Paul Church Caring Ministry outreach programmes.
